What does this tool do?

Make a ringtone or alarm from a song, clip the best quote from an interview, or remove a cough or long intro from a recording. Tiny fades at the cut points prevent clicks.

Audio is processed on your own device and never uploaded. Results download as lossless WAV, which plays on every device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a ringtone from a song?

Choose the song, drag across the waveform to select up to 30 seconds (iPhone ringtones max out at 40 seconds), keep the selection and download. Then convert or import it as your phone requires.

What format is the trimmed file?

A WAV file, which keeps full quality with no extra compression. If you need a smaller MP3 or M4A, convert the WAV afterwards with any audio converter.

Can I remove a section from the middle?

Yes — select the part you don't want and choose “Remove it”. The two remaining pieces are joined with tiny fades so there's no click.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no fixed limit because the audio is processed on your device, but very long recordings use more memory. An hour of audio works on most computers.
