How to use the Merge PDF
- Choose the PDF files to combine.
- Put them in order with the arrows.
- Click Merge and download the combined PDF.
What does this tool do?
Pages are copied exactly as they are, without re-compressing, so text stays sharp and searchable and nothing is lost. Links within each document keep working.
Why use it?
- Combine scans, invoices or chapters into one file.
- Send one attachment instead of many.
- No watermark and no page limit.
Use cases
- Put a job application together: cover letter, CV and certificates as one attachment.
- Combine monthly bank statements or invoices into one file for an accountant or a visa application.
- Join chapters or sections written separately into one report before sharing it.
Example
A 3-page cover letter, a 2-page CV and a 1-page certificate become one 6-page application PDF.
Common mistakes
- Merging in the wrong order. Files are joined top to bottom as listed, so check the order with the arrows before you merge.
- Expecting bookmarks to carry over. Pages are copied into a new file, so the bookmark panel of the original files isn't kept.
- Not checking page sizes. A4 and Letter files merge fine, but each page keeps its own size, so a printout can look slightly uneven.
Accuracy and limits
- Interactive form fields and digital signatures may not survive merging, because they're tied to the original file.
Privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF is processed inside your browser with open-source PDF libraries. It never leaves your device, which makes this safe for contracts, statements and IDs.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the password (or print it to a new PDF), then use the tool.
Will the merged PDF be larger than the originals?
It's about the size of the original files added together, because pages are copied without re-compressing.
Can I merge only some pages from a file?
Take the pages you need out first with Split PDF (Extract pages), or merge everything and then remove pages with Delete PDF Pages.
Is there a limit on files?
No fixed limit. Very large totals (hundreds of MB) may be slow or run out of memory on phones.
