How to use the Document Scanner
- Take photos of each page, or choose existing photos.
- Drag the four corners to the edges of the paper and choose a clean-up look.
- Save all pages as one PDF.
What does this tool do?
Perspective correction straightens photos taken at an angle, as if the page had been through a flatbed scanner. Black & white mode uses adaptive thresholding, which copes with shadows and uneven lighting — ideal for receipts, notes and forms.
Everything runs on your phone or computer: photos are never uploaded, which matters for IDs, payslips and medical letters.
Why use it?
- Perspective correction.
- Shadow-resistant black & white.
- Multi-page PDF.
Accuracy and limits
- The PDF contains images of the pages; text isn't searchable without OCR.
Privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
How do I scan a document with my phone?
Open this page on your phone, tap to choose photos (or take them with the camera), then drag the four corners onto the edges of the paper. The page is straightened and cleaned up, and you can save all pages as one PDF.
How do I get the best scan?
Place the paper on a dark, contrasting surface in bright, even light, hold the phone parallel to the page and avoid shadows from your hand. The corner adjustment fixes any remaining tilt.
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many photos as you like in the order you want them, remove any you don't need, and download a single multi-page PDF.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The photos are processed on your device, which makes it safe for IDs, bank statements and contracts.
