How to use the Markdown to HTML

  1. Type or paste Markdown on the left.
  2. Check the preview.
  3. Switch to “HTML code” and copy it.

What does this tool do?

The converter supports GitHub-flavored Markdown, including tables, strikethrough and fenced code blocks. The output is sanitized with DOMPurify, so any raw HTML in the Markdown can't run scripts in your browser.

Why use it?

  • Write web content quickly.
  • Preview READMEs before committing.
  • Safe preview of untrusted Markdown.

Example

**bold** becomes <strong>bold</strong>, and a line starting with # becomes an <h1> heading.

Privacy

Frequently asked questions

Can I use raw HTML inside Markdown?

Markdown allows it, and simple tags are kept. For safety, the output is sanitized, so scripts, event handlers and other dangerous HTML are removed before preview and export.

What is GitHub-flavored Markdown?

An extended version of Markdown used on GitHub and many other sites. It adds tables, strikethrough, task lists and fenced code blocks to the original syntax.
