Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory.

How to use the PNG to JPG

  1. Choose or drop your PNG files (several at once is fine).
  2. Pick a quality (90% looks identical to the original for most photos) and a background color for any transparent areas.
  3. Download the JPG files one by one or as a ZIP.

What does this tool do?

JPG files are much smaller than PNG for photos. Because JPG doesn't support transparency, transparent areas are filled with a background color you choose (white by default).

Conversion happens on your device, so it's fast and your pictures stay private.

Why use it?

  • Shrink large PNG photos for email and websites.
  • Upload where only JPG is accepted.
  • Choose the background color for transparent areas.

Use cases

  • Shrink big PNG photos before emailing or uploading them.
  • Meet upload forms that only accept JPG — job portals, visa and ID applications, marketplaces.
  • Convert a folder of exported PNGs in one go.

Common mistakes

  • Converting logos, screenshots or images with small text. JPG softens sharp edges; keep those as PNG or use WebP.
  • Leaving the default white background for a transparent logo that will sit on a dark page. Pick the color it will actually appear on.
  • Converting the same image back and forth. Each JPG save loses a little more detail.

Privacy

Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, which is why it works even on a slow connection.

What quality should I choose?

90% (the default) is visually indistinguishable from the original for most photos. 75–85% gives noticeably smaller files and is usually fine for websites and email. Below about 60% you'll start to see blocky artefacts.

How do I convert PNG to JPG on iPhone or Mac?

Open this page in Safari or Chrome, tap Choose files and pick the images from Photos or Files. On iPhone the JPGs save to the Files app (Downloads). On a Mac they go to your Downloads folder — and Preview's File → Export can also save a single image as JPEG.

Can I convert many PNGs at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like and download them all together as a ZIP.

Will converting PNG to JPG lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, so some detail is discarded. For photos the difference is barely visible, but screenshots, text and logos can show blurry edges — keep those as PNG.
