How to use the Tracking Link Cleaner
- Paste one or more links.
- Copy the cleaned links.
What does this tool do?
Links from newsletters, ads and social networks often carry tracking parameters that identify the campaign — or you. The cleaner removes known tracking parameters and leaves the ones the page needs, like product options or search terms.
Why use it?
- Share shorter, cleaner links.
- Avoid passing on your tracking IDs.
- Tidy links for documents and spreadsheets.
Example
https://shop.example.com/item/42?color=blue&utm_source=newsletter&fbclid=IwAR0abc becomes https://shop.example.com/item/42?color=blue

Frequently asked questions
Which parameters are removed?
All utm_ parameters plus common click and email trackers such as fbclid, gclid, msclkid, Mailchimp and HubSpot IDs. Parameters the page needs, like product options or search terms, are kept.
Can cleaning a link break it?
Rarely. Known tracking parameters don't change what the page shows. Affiliate and referral codes may be removed if they use tracking names, which matters only if you want the referrer to get credit.
