We don't check availability (that requires a registrar lookup). Check your favourites with any domain registrar before you fall in love with one — and check for trademarks too.

How to use the Domain Name Generator

  1. Type a few words about your business.
  2. Choose an extension and a maximum length.
  3. Click “More ideas” to reshuffle, and copy your favorites.

What does this tool do?

Ideas combine your keywords with popular prefixes (get, try, my) and suffixes (hub, ly, lab), plus joins and abbreviations. Shorter is better: easy to type, remember and say out loud.

Why use it?

  • Kick-start naming a project or business.
  • Explore many combinations quickly.
  • Free, with no sign-up or upsell.

What makes a good domain

Short (under ~15 characters), easy to spell when heard, no hyphens or numbers if possible, and a .com or a relevant country extension.

Accuracy and limits

  • Availability isn't checked. Look up your favorites with a domain registrar, and check trademarks before committing.

Privacy

Everything you type is processed in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored by us. There's no account to create and nothing to install.

Frequently asked questions

Does it check whether the domains are available?

No. Checking availability needs a lookup with a domain registrar. Check the names you like with any registrar, and search for trademarks before you buy.

Should I get a .com?

A .com is still the most familiar and easiest for people to remember. A country domain like .co.uk or .de is a good choice for a local business, and newer endings can work for tech and creative brands.
