How to use the Resume Format for Freshers

  1. The builder opens with a fresher example: career objective, education first, projects, internships, skills, volunteering and achievements.
  2. Replace the example with your details. Use “Change career” in Setup to switch field — engineering, commerce, design, nursing and 60+ more — and the examples follow.
  3. Keep it to one page (the page counter shows it live) and download the PDF.

What does this tool do?

Recruiters spend seconds on a fresher resume, so the order matters: a two-line career objective naming the role you want, then education with your grade, then projects and internships that prove your skills. Part-time jobs, college societies, hackathons and volunteering all count as experience — describe what you did and the result.

Most companies hiring freshers use applicant tracking systems. Use a single-column template, standard headings and the skills named in the job description; the Check tab compares your resume with a job advert and lists the keywords you're missing. Your CV is saved in this browser only — nothing is uploaded, and there's no sign-up or watermark.

Why use it?

  • Opens with fresher example content.
  • One-page, ATS-friendly templates.
  • Examples for 70 job roles.
  • Free, private, no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

What should a fresher write in a resume with no experience?

Lead with education and projects. Describe academic and personal projects, internships, part-time work, volunteering and college activities using action verbs and results — for example “Built a library app used by 300 students”.

Should a fresher resume be one page?

Yes. One page is ideal for freshers; recruiters expect it and it forces you to keep only your strongest points.

What is a career objective for freshers?

Two lines that name the role you want and what you offer, e.g. “Computer science graduate seeking a junior developer role, with project experience in React and Python and a strong academic record.”

Is a fresher resume different from a CV?

In India and the UK the words are often used interchangeably for freshers. Either way: one or two pages, education and projects first.
